Farm Happenings and Upcoming Events!

Wow. We just had another set of twins hit the ground and have a handful of does yet to kid and then we can finally catch our breath! Horrible weather with ice, snow, wind and brutal cold, coupled with doe after doe kidding at once drove our infrastructure to near collapse. Kidding season for us has typically been a 2 month affair, slow and steady. We have some dedicated stalls in our maternity barn, but are used to does kidding unassisted and requiring little to no isolation time for bonding. That all went out the door with single digits and wind…and of course way more does than stalls. We’ve mostly pulled through and are getting ready to list some of the great variety of kids born! Thanks to all our great customers and patrons as always!
