This doe is a special one. She is one of the prettiest goats in the herd. Unfortunately, she contracted meningeal worm late summer 2021. This is NOT CONTAGIOUS and in most of our experiences they recover with treatment and have no deficits. Unfortunately, this was not the case for this girl and she has some weakness in her hind end. She gets up, down, and around just fine and will even gallop with the younger goats, but she would do much better in a home with less acreage so she doesn’t have to expend unneeded energy roaming 50 acres. She also SHOULD NEVER BE BRED and a contract will be signed to such. While she certainly can conceive, we have concerns that a pregnancy would throw off her balance and that she may not have enough strength/functional muscles to deliver her kids naturally.
